All three kiddos are involved with our church’s childrens choir. It is a strange story that there is even a choir at all, and I am the root. But thankfully, I do not have to sing! LOL! God has blessed us all with many gifts, but singing is just not one of mine! LOL!
But my children really enjoy singing, and I think that their praises are so precious to hear.
This past Sunday they sang during both services, and it was beautiful. All the children all dressed up and their voices so sweetly filling the sanctuary.
I snapped a few pics of my kiddos all dressed up. They were so darned cute I could eat’em up!

How exciting! Summer Rose was beside herself excited! She got to hold the banner for her clogging group!
This is her first year in clogging and she has not earned enough stars (learned enough dance routines) to be able to dance in a parade or compete. She should be at that point next year.
It was a chilly day with the high temps only reaching 44 degrees. I am glad we bundled up! We are not used to chilly temps like that.

And of course I can not go without posting pics of my other chilly willies!

This was a simple ornament by deisgn, but the message is what makes it complete. We loved rowing “Clown of God” a few years back and I really felt led to make an ornament representing this great book. This ornament idea came to me over the summer while I was planning for the school year. Finding the beads became more of a challenge then I had anticipated, but in the end we came out with a great little ornament.
We hope everyone enjoys them, and we are excited to start receiving other family’s ornaments in the mail!!
What a special time of year!

Another year of racing! This was more intense then previous years, because we were the ones to carve the cars! Thank you Dremel!!
This year Summer Rose built the “Fisher of Men” with her reference to the verse in Mark. And Winter Sprout built the “Bread of Life” with is reference to John 6:35. Next year Spring Blossom gets to have a go in the Grand Prix, and she is very excited.
Summer Rose did not win anything for her car, and plans to make a true racing car next year. However, Winter Sprout won 1st place in design for his level!! He was one happy boy!!
Great job kiddos! And a special thanks to Papa Bear for all his help!

Another year with the box challenge! (We have leftover moving boxes that I have challenged the kids to make into costumes) We only have one rule: nothing scary. We have good clean fun with this otherwise dark holiday. Simply put: the kids love to dress up and look funny, so this is a reason to show off that talent.
This year we had a refrigerator and a washing machine! They turned out cool and were a hit Halloween night!
Spring Blossom put together a cat costume from the dress-up bin. In September she had a run in with a pole that landed her sporting many stitches on her face. We called them her whiskers and said that instead of using a box she could be a kitty (which is her all time favorite animal! actually a slight obsession…lol)
But we had a super fun night walking our small neighborhood with another great homeschooling family!

Let me start by saying, Winter Sprout does NOT like soccer. He is a baseball guy.
But the team he played baseball with last season was giving soccer a go and he decided to play with them. He is trudging along, but says he will go back to baseball with or without his team.
But that aside, he is a great goalie! And has not let the other team score yet! But he is not good at field play, he is just not an ‘in your face’ type kid. But we are so proud of his great spirit and team player!

And….shhhh….this was our first time camping as a family.
But we had a blast! Our car did not and we needed to get some new tires on our way back to the city. We brought home a bunch of dirt, smell of campfire, and three VERY happy kids. I say it was a success!!
Summer Rose’s best friend was up there and so she was happy as could be. Winter Sprouts best bud is in his troop and they had a blast, too. There was fort building, spies with boys vs. girls, etc. All that fun stuff that comes with scout camp.
Summer Rose spent hours carving little things from the Ponderosa branches with her pocket knife that once belonged to her great grandma (whom she shares the same name). What fun!
We look forward to going camping again soon. And in the Spring we get to go to the scout camp Papa Bear worked at in the summers as a teenager! Cool!

These wild styles were over the top and got MANY compliments! I admit I was worried about the color washing out, but it came out very easily.

Out of Lego of course! It is simple but was a great MOH lesson helper. Thanks Summer Rose for tossing this together for us.
